This pretty Edwardian 9ct Gold shield locket is a genuine antique, crafted in sunny 9ct Yellow Gold in the early nineteen-hundreds.
This lovely Edwardian locket is extremely decorative and would make a beautiful gift for any occasion! It has a beautiful embossed Gold border, and intricate engravings of scrolled acanthus leaves and flowers.
It also has a small blank cartouche that you could have engraved with an initial or two at a later date if you so wished.
The chain pictured is not included but a selection can be added at the checkout if required.
ERA: Edwardian (1901-1909)
MEASUREMENTS: The locket itself measures 20mm wide by 25mm tall.
MATERIALS: 9ct Gold (Rose & Yellow)
HALLMARKS: Stamped "9ct Back & Front"
CONDITION: Very Good
This beautiful Edwardian 9ct Gold shield locket is in very good antique condition, and would make a lovely addition to anyone's jewellery box. The locket opens and closes shut tight, and has room for two small photographs. There are two original frames, and the inside is clean and ready to use. There are no deep scuffs or pin-holes, and just a little light wear to the Gold visible on the cartouche. The locket has a slight depression near the top left hand corner, but this is camouflaged nicely by the pretty patterns and the way the light hits them, so this is only noticeable if you really look for it. All in all this is a fantastic Gold back and front locket that's charming, affordable, and ready to wear!
