ERA: Austro-Hungarian (1867-1922).
MEASUREMENTS: Earrings including hooks are each 18.5mm long x 8mm wide (at widest point).
Opals are 5.5mm long x 4mm wide, approx. 0.40ct total.
Paste stones are each approx. 2.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 1.9g.
MATERIALS: 15ct Gold, Diamond Paste, Opal (0.40ct).
HALLMARKS: Austro-Hungarian dog's head with 'A', and '4' on either side, and 'MA' maker's mark. Tests as 15ct Gold throughout.
Condition:
VERY GOOD. These Austro-Hungarian Opal & Diamond Paste lever back earrings are in very good antique condition. All the gemstones are securely set and free from damage to note, with only some very minor discolouration to a couple of the Paste stones. The 15ct Gold is in lovely condition too, with only some light wear throughout, commensurate with age. Each earring does have a slightly different lever back mechanism, but rest assured that these cuties will remain snug in your lobes all day long.
