A sweet and petite antique watch key pendant featuring a Bloodstone on one side and a yellow Paste on the other. Which way round will you wear it today?
Skillfully handcrafted over a century ago, ornate patterns whimsically sweep around the borders of the gemstones culminating in a decorative trinket ready to adorn your collar bones.
One of the aspects we love so much about watch key fobs is that they are both beautiful and utilitarian, a combination that is uniquely found in antique jewellery!
We have added a 22" solid 9ct Gold chain so this piece is ready to be worn or gifted straight away!
ERA: Late Georgian to Early Victorian (c.1830-1840)
MEASUREMENTS: 27mm long x 9mm wide x 4mm deep
The Paste and Bloodstone are 4mm in diameter
22" or 57cm chain
Weight: 2g, 3.6g inc. chain
MATERIALS: 9ct Yellow Gold casing, Yellow Paste, Bloodstone
HALLMARKS: None present, tested as 9ct Gold. Chain hallmarked "9ct"
GOOD: A cute antique watch key pendant offered in good condition. The fob turns freely which is a rare quality to find in antique keys. The Goldwork is superb with no signs of wear to the main body. We have noted that there is a hairline crack running across the Bloodstone, which fortunately does not impact the structural integrity of the fob. There is also some wear to the end of the key itself part which we feel just adds a bit of antique charm and is very much in keeping with its age. The Paste is bright with only slight wear commensurate with age.
