One of our absolute favourite brooches in the collection, this gorgeous Victorian Silver Paste brooch features row upon row of gorgeous, Diamond-like gems in a dazzling 10 armed star.

In addition to this there are a further 10 celestial Pastes orbiting the star - creating a striking look that you cant help but be fascinated by!

Each Paste has been hand-cut and hand-finished individually, so when you peer at them long enough you'll realize they are all unique. We love the way they've been cut chunky, with high tables and steep edges to mimic beautiful old cut Diamonds too! Set against the dark aged patina of the Silver they look absolutely wonderful.

The Pastes we have here are not bright white and gleaming, but rather a more somber light grey tone that seems to suite the brooch exceedingly well. They still have a gorgeous sparkle, but are more like the grey Diamonds we see in old Georgian and Early Victorian pieces.

Made in the 1800's, this piece exemplifies why we are so fascinated with antique jewellery today. It's chic, versatile and it has the indescribable charm of something you just know is precious.

The star is quite unusual, three-dimensional shape - making it an ideal candidate for a conversion piece. It's beautiful as it is, as a brooch, but would also convert well into a real "kapow!" ring or a quirky necklace.

This beautiful Victorian Silver Paste brooch would make a gorgeous and timeless gift for any occasion.

This remarkable Victorian paste brooch is gorgeous! All of the paste stones are present and intact, and have a beautiful and subtle sparkle that is both mysterious and sophisticated. The Silver shows a gorgeous, deep, almost black patina which compliments the Paste beautifully, and the pin brooch works perfectly. The Paste gems do show some signs of light wear on close inspection and vary in colour, with the stones in the outer "halo" the darkest. The central Paste may or may not be a replacement.
