Antique Sterling Silver & 9ct Gold Cigar Cutter

This item is unavailable
SKU: x4301

This antique Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold cigar cutter is an exquisite example of Victorian craftsmanship. Her domed body displays a hammered texture, with a soft patina in each dainty dip, creating a beautiful contrast against her blushed 9ct Gold moon and stars, that shine from afar.

One of the most compact cigar cutters we've seen, she became the height of popularity in the late 19th century, being carried by its owner for the sole purpose of opening the head of a cigar.

Although she may not be used for her initial design feature, she is a highly collectible antique item and would make for a beautiful Victorian pendant suspended from a dainty chain!

VERY GOOD. An antique Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold cigar cutter offered in very good condition. Her body has kept its structural integrity excellently, with her cigar cutter still in working use, pulling in out and with ease. Each Gold embellishment is securely soldered onto the Sterling Silver with no damage to note. There is some subtle wear on the Sterling Silver, but nothing untoward. A truly fascinating piece, ready to be loved for another lifetime!
