This is a charming antique Silver sovereign holder, which can also be worn as a pendant! Such holders were used to keep Gold sovereign coins safe, by which point they were seen as a more sophisticated method of storage!

HALLMARKS: Birmingham Assay, Lion Passant, date letter "P" for the year 1914. Maker's Mark "WE", "22" inside door. Lion Passant, date letter "P" & Lion passant on all innards of holder.
