This antique Silver seal fob is such a unique and puzzling piece! Double hallmarked, this fob has a striking stag seal with rococo body.
Although hallmarked to 1856, we believe that this fob is likely far older than this. It's not uncommon for antique jewellery to be re-hallmarked at a later date, and the design of this piece is clearly centuries old. Not to mention its 930 Silver potentially points to Dutch origins. This striking fob is clearly a mystery, but it's a piece you would love to find out more about.
ERA: Georgian / Victorian, c.1856.
MEASUREMENTS: Fob 25mm long x 18mm wide.

GOOD: This antique Silver seal fob is in wonderful condition for it's very long life. There are some clear signs of age-related wear. For instance, the seal has worn from age and there is some general small surface wear to the fob itself. However, the fob is still very robust, and it's high purity of Sterling Silver means that it will last for many more years. This piece is a unique find that you will treasure forever!
