This antique Silver scarab beetle pendant is one of the coolest pieces of antique jewellery we have in our collection. A piece of Egyptian revival jewellery, this style of jewellery was influenced by an influx of ancient archaeological finds.
Scarab beetles were a symbol of immortality, resurrection, and protection, three meanings that resonated with the late Victorian era due to the declining health of Queen Victoria herself. Crafted from Sterling Silver, this piece is nothing short of spectacular.
ERA: Late Victorian / Early Edwardian c.1900.
MEASUREMENTS: Adjustable necklace length 16" to 18" or 40.6cm to 45.7cm.
Scarab beetle 25mm long x 15mm wide.

HALLMARKS: Obscured hallmark on the scarab's leg, tests as Sterling Silver throughout.
EXCELLENT: This antique Silver scarab beetle pendant is in impeccable condition throughout! The Sterling Silver throughout is incredibly bright with all of the naturalistic engravings on the scarab clear and visible. Overall, a stunning piece of Victorian Egyptian Revival jewellery!
