A charming antique fob medal crafted from solid Sterling Silver & 9ct Rose Gold, circa 1914.
Fob medals were often given in celebration of an achievement in sports or attainment during the early 20th century, and before that were hung decoratively from watch and vesta chains throughout the 19th century.
This beautiful fob medal was hand-made in England prior to WW1, and features fine engraved detail and contrasting metals. Both front and back have been left blank- perfect for engraving with a name, initial or special date!
The fob is signed "JMCM", with the Date Letter "P" to symbolise the fob was assayed in the year 1914. The fob also displays the Lion Passant hallmark for Sterling Silver, and the Birmingham Anchor .
This pretty vintage fob would look lovely as a pendant on a simple Silver chain, on a velvet cord, or even as a very stylish key-fob.
Measures approximately 25mm wide x 40mm tall.
Would make a gorgeous and thoughtful gift! Comes boxed and beautifully presented, with fully insured & traceable delivery to your door.
