We are pleased to present this striking antique Silver micro mosaic brooch! Formed of three ovals bordered by dainty Sterling Silver beads, the star of the show sits nestled in the middle. Masterfully crafted from miniature mosaic pieces, she boasts three bunches of flowers formed from a plethora of pastel colours. It is hard to comprehend the time and patience needed to produce such an exquisite piece!
Mosaics have a long history and were first seen in Greece more than 5000 years ago! This technique was used on a smaller scale in the form of jewellery from the late 18th century and became the height of popularity during the Victorian era.

VERY GOOD. This antique Silver micro mosaic brooch is in good overall condition. The front of the piece is super lovely with only a few micro mosaic tiles missing from around the edge of the flowers. The back of the piece has some clear signs of its previous life; a few flecks of discolouration, but this is only noticeable under close inspection. Her pin securely sits within her c-clasp so she can be worn with the utmost confidence. A fun and colourful piece of Victorian jewellery ready to be loved for another lifetime!
