This antique Silver pencil pendant is a fantastic and utilitarian piece of Edwardian jewellery. Signed by "SMORDAN&CO" a reputable British silversmith, this pencil pendant is a great collector's item. 

This substantial pendant was likely once attached to a split ring and carried around for whenever someone needed to write important correspondence. Hallmarked to 1916, this pendant immediately connects you to the era of World War I.

ERA: Post-Edwardian, c.1916.

MEASUREMENTS: Pencil 8.5cm long x 10mm wide (13mm wide at the push-piece collar). 
Length of pendant including jump ring 10cm. 
Weight: 30g. 

MATERIALS: Sterling Silver. 

HALLMARKS: Maker's Mark "SM&Co" (For Sampson Mordan & Co), Lion Passant, London Assay, date letter "a" for the year 1916. "SMORDAN&CO" and "RD560693" on the push-piece collar. Lion Passant on jump ring.

EXCELLENT: This antique Silver pencil pendant is in fantastic antique condition. The entirety of the piece is free from dents and dings, and all of the hallmarks are crisp. The push-pull mechanism works well, so you can easily reveal the pencil head at just a gentle push.
