This antique green Chalcedony bug brooch is bursting with personality, and we think she deserves a name! Boasting charming gemstones throughout, she has Seed Pearls adorning her wings and her eyes are composed of sparkling red glass.

Uber smooth and highly saturated, the two green Chalcedony cabochons that perfectly form the body if the bug exude jungle green hues, which radiate against the patina of her 850 Silver.

A time when insects were commonly depicted in jewellery, she dates back to the early 20th century, on the cusp of the Victorian to Edwardian era. Victorians adored the sentiment and meaning behind their pieces; insects were no exception, with flies associated with humility and beetles with longevity.
