A striking antique 8ct Gold masonic ball pendant! Masonic ball pendants were originally worn during the 19th century, a discreet way to pay homage to the freemasons. 

At first glance, this piece appears simple and spherical, but it opens up into a cross, covered with an array of symbols! This piece of Victorian jewellery is sure to be a talking point.

MEASUREMENTS: Masonic ball is 24.5mm long, including jump ring.
Masonic ball is 17mm in diameter.
When open, the cross is 42mm long x 32mm wide.
Weight: 7.2g

MATERIALS:  8ct Gold outside casing & jump ring, inside tests as Sterling Silver (Gilded with Gold). 

STAMPS & HALLMARKS: '8CT' on inside of one clip.

Condition:

VERY GOOD. This antique 8ct Gold masonic ball pendant is in very good condition. The sphere has mostly kept its shape perfectly aside from a small dent at the base, but she remains securely closed with use of the bale. Once opened, this piece reveals an array of symbols, all hand-engraved into the piece. There are a few signs of wear, but this doesn't affect the structural integrity of the piece. This is an interesting pendant, to say the least!
