In Victorian floriography, Violets are symbolic of faithfulness and modesty, two values that were incredibly important in 19th century life. The body of the fob is also graced by beautiful ornate engravings, giving this piece plenty of texture.

MATERIALS: 9ct Gold cased metal, solid 9ct Gold jump ring, Foiled Paste (Citrine paste).
HALLMARKS: Tests as 9ct Gold cased over a metal core with a solid 9ct Gold jump ring.
VERY GOOD-GOOD: This antique Gold cased Paste fob is in great condition for its grand age. The Citrine Paste is completely immaculate and well-presented for its age, with the foil intact and the flower intaglio lovely and crisp. There is a small area of age-related damage to the top of the fob but this does not detract from its wearability.
