This gorgeous Edwardian Paste necklace is pretty vampy as Edwardian jewellery goes, and we just love the confidence and stride encapsulated in those vivid purple stones!
A genuine antique, this Amethyst Paste necklace would have been crafted at the beginning of the 20th Century, and we can see from the elaborate design the skill and craftsmanship involved in making it.
Some of the Paste is open-backed whilst others are foiled, creating a really pretty and sparkly look.
It's perfect for those occasions where you want to stand out from the crowd, and has an edgy, gothic feel about it, which we just love!

VERY GOOD: A wonderful Edwardian Amethyst Paste necklace in very good condition. Ready to wear and enjoy! The colour of the Paste is exceptional, and they're very bright and beautiful throughout. One of the smaller Paste gems has a tiny chip in it, although this is very subtle and would not be seen when worn. In fact, it's so subtle it looks very much like a facet unless you look with an x10 loupe! All of the medium-sized and large Paste gems are immaculate and the original chain and bolt ring are in good shape, so you can wear this fabulous antique necklace with pride!
This is neither damage nor wear but is worth pointing out! We believe the bezel-set Pastes are additional to the original necklace. Although they look to have come from another item of jewellery; either another antique necklace or bracelet, they very much match in terms of colour and shape, and proportions of them sit well with the necklace to create a beautiful look overall. They could easily be removed if you prefer, but we've left the item as found!
