What a glorious Turquoise and Diamond bar brooch!
This antique 18ct Gold brooch is a real thing of beauty, made from the finest materials and arranged in in the form of a beautiful stylized flower.
In the centre lies a bright and cheery bright blue Turquoise, (probably Persian Turquoise!) surrounded by alternating lustrous Seed Pearl and old cut Diamonds. The combination of the vibrant duck-egg blue Turquoise and the rich Yellow Gold is just dreamy!
It comes with what appears to be an original Mappin & Webb leather box, which like the brooch itself is in exceptional condition.
It would make a fantastic gift no matter what the occasion, but we think it would be especially apt as "something blue" for a wedding.
The brooch looks great as is, or is a great candidate for conversion into a stunning ring or necklace. If you're interested in converting this brooch please get in touch for any help or advise!

A superb antique 18ct Gold Turquoise and Diamond bar brooch is exceptional condition. We cannot say how thrilled we are to have such a gorgeous piece of history in our collection- especially with the original box! All parts of the brooch, including the setting, Turquoise, Pearls and Diamonds are all original and antique and free from any damage. Both the Turquoise and Diamonds are absolutely faultless, and the pretty little Pearls still have a fantastic lustre and shine. The brooch opens and closes securely with a smooth and pleasing motion, and is suitable to wear even on thicker fabric such as wool or tweed as the pin is quite robust. A real quality piece of Victorian jewellery.
The antique leather jewellery box has a small area of damage on the outside, near the bottom left corner. Apart from that it's in very good condition, opens and closes shut tight, and keeps the brooch snugly in place.
