This 19th-century miniature portrait Gold cased locket has everything you could want in an antique of its stature. This locket has a beautifully handpainted portrait of a young woman wearing a blue gingham dress and Coral cross necklace. If you love period dramas and classically antique jewels, this is perfect. 

The 19th-Century version of a selfie, miniature portraits were often shared between ardent lovers. This piece, in particular, has a lock of dark brown hair in the back and a foliate deeply embossed Gold cased frame.

Condition:

VERY GOOD: This 19th-century miniature portrait Gold cased locket is a treasure, ready to be added to your antique collection. The striking portrait is well-presented within its original glass free from scuffs or discoloration. Plus, the 9ct Gold cased frame has kept its shape well, with only some of the 9ct Gold cased lightly worn. If you look closely, you can even see acorns, flowers and leaves - how magnificent! The hair work has slightly slipped in the glass, but this is can be removed and your own portrait added if you wish.
