A gorgeous 5 stone Diamond boat ring from the Victorian era, marked with large over-sized hallmarks as being made in the English town of Chester in the year 1864.
This beautiful antique 5 stone Diamond ring would have been made by hand, and you can see the care and craftsmanship that's gone into it. The Diamonds are all old cuts - each with it's own distinct character.
If you look closely you'll see that the 2nd and fourth Diamonds are slightly darker than the others, giving a charming and totally unique alternating effect. This is very subtle but if you like unique, one-off items this feature certainly does add a certain antique charm!
The band itself measures 5mm at its widest point at the front, then gently tapers off towards a comfortable 2.5mm band at the back.
We love the way the shoulders have domed, almost a "knife-edge" profile which accentuate the graduated "boat-shape" of the ring.
This is truly a special, one-of-a-kind ring that would make a gorgeous dress ring, wedding or eternity ring, or equally a beautiful alternative engagement ring.

A stunning authentic antique boat ring in superb condition. The Diamonds are beautiful with no damage and the Gold band is truly remarkable considering its 153 years of age. All of the hallmarks are intact and crisp- making this ring easily identifiable as a genuine Victorian item. There is a little light wear to the very back of the band but apart from this mere trace of her past life she's absolutely perfect!
