A beautiful pair of 18ct Gold Iberian rose cut diamond earrings, offered in excellent condition.
These wonderful antique earrings are a rare find and were made during the Georgian or early Victorian era, circa 1800's. They're crafted from rich, buttery 18ct Yellow Gold and are set with natural rose cut Diamonds.
The tops have traditional reverse lever-backs so they're easy to wear, and once on are secure and comfortable. Unlike some Georgian earrings which are extremely large and heavy, these are lighter due to the open petal-like design. (This means you can wear them from day through evening with ease, and they won't tire your ears!)
It's possible they were once part of a much larger girandole or chandelier pair of earrings that have been simplified for the modern day lady.
A rare and collectible piece.
