EXCELLENT: A truly stunning 18ct Gold Georgian Amethyst pendant offered in exceptional condition! The Amethyst is a gloriously rich grape colour, with plenty of sparkle and lovely high-domed facets. The gem is set securely in beautiful triple cut-down claws, typical of the era. Circa 1820, there are no chips or nibbles to be seen- although please note there are some fine natural inclusions to be seen. Rather than a flaw, these inclusions are a sign that the stone is natural and show how it grew in nature. It has a fabulous and rare depth - giving it a hefty carat weight of 13.20ct, featuring bright 18ct Gold claws. Note it was a damaged brooch and we converted it to a pendant so she can be worn and loved often!
