This one is in excellent condition with a yellow to olive base colour, and lots of beautiful rainbow colour iridescence!

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 16" or 40.5cm long.
Tasmanian shells are 8.5mm long x 5mm wide.
Weight: 4.3g

MATERIALS: Maireener Tasmanian shells, 9ct Gold bolt-ring & jump-ring. 

STAMPS: '375' on later added bolt-ring. 
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made prior to 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD. This rare 16" antique 9ct Gold Maireener Tasmanian shell necklace is in very good condition overall. The shells are absolutely stunning and have a gorgeous rainbow-like sheen. The shells have lasted well over the years, although have suffered some damage due to their delicate nature. They have been strung securely together and are super lightweight to wear!
