This 15ct Gold Victorian Locket is such a spectacular example of the skill and attention to detail of the craftsmen of the era.
With this locket, you're really getting two pieces of jewellery in one! You can wear it either way round for completely different looks. One face features an ornately engraved scene full of Victorian symbolism including a belt and buckle, ivy leaves and forget-me-not flowers. The other side features a raised shield shape with a bold strikethrough.
We love that the engraving on this piece covers the entire surface. No part has been left without embellishment.
Many antique lockets that you see are "back and front", meaning that they are made of Gold panels on a metal body. This is not the case with this locket, which is solid 15ct Gold throughout! This is far rarer and makes this piece much more valuable.
ERA: Victorian c.1880
MEASUREMENTS: The locket itself measures 22mm wide by 28mm long, not including the bale.

EXCELLENT: This locket really is in fantastic antique condition. The hinge is nice and tight with no 'play' and the locket closes with a satisfying snap. The Gold is pristine, with no dings, scratches or pin-holes. It's ready to be worn and enjoyed!
