EXCELLENT-VERY GOOD: This Georgian 9ct Gold Flat-Cut Garnet cascade necklace is sublime! The Garnets themselves are perfection, they are of an amazing colour with no signs of chips, scratches or nibbles to any of the gems. There are some tiny imperceptible dings to some of the Garnet button backs, but overall they are smooth, lovely and robust. Plus, the Garnet clasp requires a little "oomph" to open her, however, you can therefore be confident that when she is firmly clasped around your neck, she is there to stay! What's more, the centre of the necklace has a small hasp hinge attached, this is an articulated piece so you can easily conceal it when worn, but it also invites you to attach a matching or contrasting pendant of your choice to its centre. It is always remarkable when we find pieces from the Georgian era that are as beautiful as this, which is why she is a must-have for any jewellery aficionado!
