We are blown away by the beauty of this Art Nouveau 18ct Gold Diamond slider locket. Depicting "les fleurs de mai", translating as "the May flowers", she features a powerful female portrait amidst a stunning scene filled with irises. She is truly brimming with romance!
Complete with seven sparkling rose-cut Diamonds, she also has a gorgeous slider feature which allows for you to place a sweet portrait inside. Not to mention, the locket back boasts beautiful three-dimensional calligraphic lettering, which although we cannot decipher, is stunning to admire.
Certainly, the mysterious origins of this locket only add to its antique allure. Considering her style, we believe she is French, yet is signed by the Italian-sounding craftsman "COTUZZO". Most likely, she was crafted by an Italian goldsmith in France at the turn of the 20th Century!

Locket is 35.5mm in diameter.
Diamonds graduate from approx. 0.8mm to 1.22mm in diameter, with a total carat weight of approx. 0.05ct.
Weight: 20g.
MATERIALS: Solid 18ct Gold, Rose-Cut Diamonds.
HALLMARKS: Tested as 18ct Gold throughout. Although there are no hallmarks, from the style, we believe this piece to be most likely French. The craftsman's signature "COTUZZO" sounds Italian, so we wonder whether it was crafted an Italian Goldsmith in France at the turn of the 20th Century.

EXCELLENT-VERY GOOD. This Art Nouveau 18ct Gold Diamond lady's portrait slider locket is in fabulous condition. The solid 18ct Gold is just incredible, retaining its sensational sunshine-yellow hue. The Diamonds are securely set, and the engraved design has lasted beautifully. The slider mechanism is also in fine working order. The locket features an intact frame inside for all of your sentimental needs! With a gorgeous bale firmly attached, you can affix her to a Gold chain and wear to your heart's desire.
