The perfect gift for any antique jewellery lover, this early Victorian Gold split ring is a lovely piece. Engraved with sweet floral details and curling patterns, this split ring will add a fine touch of texture (and length) to an ornate fob or charm.
Split rings were incredibly fashionable amongst both the Georgians and Victorians, used in excess for stacking multiple charms onto its body. Alternatively, you could suspend this split ring on a fine chain!
ERA: Early Victorian c.1840-1860.
MEASUREMENTS: Split ring 15mm outer diameter x 1.5mm thick.
MATERIALS: 9ct Gold.
HALLMARKS: Tested as solid 9ct Gold.
VERY GOOD: This early Victorian Gold split ring is in fabulous condition. As can be expected from a piece dating roughly to the 1840s-60s, some of the chased details have smoothened away from age and use, yet they are still intact, reminiscent of its original charm. The split ring itself can also be easily opened and secured, so you can add and remove as many fine charms as you desire!
