VERY GOOD. A gorgeous Victorian 18ct Gold Amethyst Diamond ring in very good condition. This piece is a feast for the eyes, and although there is sign of a previous resize on the back of the band, this does not take away from her integrity! The Diamonds are all secure and although they slightly differ in cut this is true to their rose-cut nature.
The Amethyst is juicy and gorgeous, and it's our opinion that this ring originally had a different centre-stone over 100 years ago and that this was replaced at some point during its long life, this is why the claws around that pretty royal purple natural Amethyst are 9ct rather than 18ct. Yet, we believe this was done some time ago, the claws are in-keeping with the style and age of the ring and are also matched in terms of the colour of the stone. The Amethyst has some natural inclusions that gives it a slightly velvety appearance! Altogether a gorgeous ring in very good, ready to wear condition.
