This is a beautiful Georgian Gold swivel mourning ring, which we've dated all the way back to 1810! This is an incredibly rare ring and must once have been a very cherished piece.
The ring band itself has been crafted from 9ct Gold, with an 18ct Gold panel adorned in forget-me-nots. The hair portion is bordered by plump Pearls that have a wonderful white luminous glow. Mourning jewellery is highly collectable, and with the beauty of this piece combined with her Georgian heritage, she is deserving of a place in your jewellery collection!

Ring band graduates from 3.5mm wide at the back 10mm wide at the shoulders.

HALLMARKS: Inscribed "ThoS Snelling ob 14th Apl 1810 at 35." Tests as 9ct Gold band and settings with an 18ct Gold panel of flowers.
Condition:
EXCELLENT. This Georgian Gold swivel mourning ring is in excellent condition! The Plump Pearls are set securely and damage-free. The central hair work panel has also kept incredibly well, alongside her neat Enamel border. The swivel mechanism is in fine working order and allows you to choose which side is on show. The Forget-Me-Not Panel shows no signs of wear which is quite incredible. The band shows no sign of resizing meaning she has retained every inch of her original charm.
